Original abstract

TeacherPrompt is a teacher-support web application that helps educators remember student interests and use that context to prepare adaptable explanations and homework prompts with an AI service of their choice. TeacherPrompt is not an automated personalized learning system: pedagogical decisions, review of student-provided data, and evaluation of generated output remain with the teacher. Version 1.0 provides teacher-managed surveys, student response review and deletion, prompt preferences, and privacy-limited operational telemetry. TeacherPrompt does not independently send student information to ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, or other external AI services; it prepares text that the teacher may choose to copy and submit. When TeacherPrompt is used as a research instrument, intervention, or part of a pedagogical experiment, researchers should cite this software record and describe its role in the Methods section. Use of TeacherPrompt alone does not imply co-authorship. Authorship should reflect substantial scholarly contributions under the policies of the relevant journal. This record provides the citation and research-use documentation for TeacherPrompt version 1.0. The proprietary application source code is not included.
