Original abstract
Part IV of a four-record archival series documenting recursive cross-model evaluation of human-AI philosophical dialogue. Series:Part I - Claude dialogue - DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17329505Part II - ChatGPT analysis/dialogue - DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17379840Part III - Gemini analysis/dialogue - DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17507045Part IV - The Copilot Extension - this record. This deposit preserves a Copilot dialogue conducted on or around 16 October 2025. Copilot was provided with materials related to earlier stages and asked to assess their research value. The interaction subsequently developed into discussion of publication strategy, cross-model comparison, self-description, possible self-evaluation bias, model evolution, design principles, and philosophical questions concerning artificial intelligence. The exact underlying model used in the Copilot session has not been independently verified. The dialogue is therefore presented as a historical snapshot of product behavior at that time, not as representative of current Copilot. It also raises, but does not resolve, the hypothesis that earlier generations of conversational AI may have exhibited different forms of philosophical self-description or different willingness to engage in speculative discussion. AI statements in the archive are not treated as authoritative evidence about internal model architecture, cognition, consciousness, intentions, or stable philosophy. Cross-model agreement is not treated as independent empirical confirmation. The complete Japanese transcript is the primary source. A later complete English translation should be deposited as a clearly identified translation, preserving the original sequence and errors without silent correction.
