Original abstract
CERVINO (Corpus of Eye-movements while Reading Valle d'Aosta Italian NOrms) is the largest publicly available Italian eye-tracking dataset for reading research. It contains eye-tracking recordings from 208 participants reading four Italian legal texts collected with a 120 Hz Tobii eye tracker. The dataset includes fixation scanpaths, aggregated word-level eye-tracking measures, comprehension questions and answers, participant metadata, and the source texts. It is intended to support research on psycholinguistics, cognitive modeling, legal language processing, readability assessment, text simplification, and cognitively informed NLP. This dataset accompanies the paper CERVINO: A Large-Scale Italian Eye-Tracking Dataset for Reading Legal Texts, accepted at EMNLP 2026.
