Original abstract

Qualitative research methods such as semi-structured interviews yield rich insights but face inherent limitations in scalability.Recent advances in large language models (LLMs) have produced conversational agents capable of conducting adaptive dialogues that approach human-like quality. We propose an AI-native interview system that employs LLM-based agents to conduct qualitative interviews at scale. We report preliminary findings from pilot deployments with 350 university students and outline an organizational research approach with 500 employees at a large consulting firm.During the TREO session, we will demonstrate how to set up and deploy these agents and invite discussion on research design, A/B testing, variable operationalization through text mining, and new applications.
